Cabbing Rough Featurette

Day 17's Giveaway is a lovely Hand Cut Stone from Cabbing Rough

Here is the giveaway item: Hand Cut Rocky Butte Picture Jasper Cabochon
measures 38mm x 28mm x 4mm
You'll have to wait until June 17th to enter to win it, but for now, here is a bit of a preview of Cabbing Rough's work.

A bit about Laura from Cabbing Rough (from the blog bio): I am a mother of 4 that always has to keep my hands busy. During the day I love to play with the kids, knit, sew, and tie pretty ribbons. At night when they're in bed, I love to cut and polish rocks and make jewelry. I love etsy and currently run two shops on the site to show off my work.

This is a picture of where the magic happens:

This is just one example of the beautiful jewelry that artists have created using Cabbing Rough stones. Plume Agate Tree made by Connie

I am told that it is a lost art! I mean, how many people have all that equipment and the drive to make it into a business?! So great!

Wow that stuff is amazing. I thought people just bought their stones already cut and polished! Had no clue someone would still do it by hand. Awesomeness!

Thanks for joining Mailbox Monday! I was already subscribed via e-mail and GFC follow! Glad I stopped by anyway :-)

Hope you had a great Monday!
