Giveaway 30 Days - Choice of Print and Keychain

Day 22's Giveaway is a choice of print PLUS a cute plush keychain from
Shannon at Sass and Peril
Working as a graphic artist by day and maker of amazing prints and plushies by night, Shannon resides in Southern California. The meaning behind the shop name is described here by Shannon:
sass&peril is my design alias first created back in 2004. As a graphic designer by trade it's my job to be progressive and a little more forward-thinking."sass" alludes to the playful nature of my designs and "peril" pays homage to ways of thinking that are unabashed and push the envelope a little. So no, I'm not bratty or dangerous in the literal sense, but I do put my heart and soul into everything I create in an unapologetic way.
There are so many great things on offer at Sass and Peril, so it was hard to choose just a few to show you, but here they are:

and here are the links so you can purchase them, if you like:
I was quite happy when Shannon told me that she recently took these studio pictures and that I could share them with all of you. Aren't they inspirational?

Shannon was kind enough to answer a few questions for me:

1. How does your art practice fit in to your life?
Creativity, for me, is something that can't be switched on and off. I find myself constantly thinking of new ideas for prints or designs. It's almost overwhelming at times but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

2. Where does everything come together?
Everything is designed by me and sewn or screenprinted in my studio in my home. I would love to have more space to expand on my offerings but I'm making the best of the space I have now. :)

3. Do you have any specific goals for your Etsy store/Art Practice?
Of course I'd love to be able to make a living off of my art, but I truly love working as a Graphic Designer. My Etsy shop serves as a creative outlet for me outside of the bubble of traditional design so it is fulfilling to me and if people like what I do that makes it even better.

4. What would be your super-power?
The ability to fly would be really cool!

5. Recommend a good movie and book.
Movie- Nacho Libre because it cracks me up every time and I love laughing 'till I snort!
Book- I collect a lot of art and design books for research and inspiration and one that I picked up recently that was particularly great is called "Naive: Modernism and Folklore in Contemporary Graphic Design". It features some really amazing artists.

6. Where do you live in the world? What do you like about living there?
I live in Long Beach, CA but I am originally from Florida. Long Beach is great because it is a huge city but still has so many cool little neighbourhoods and it's by the water. I love that I can ride my bike to downtown, the art district, vintage stores and then walk to so many great restaurants, shops, and the beach. The weather in Southern California trumps the Florida humidity any day!
