Day 17's Giveaway is a beautiful
Hand Cut Rocky Butte Picture Jasper Cabochon
Cabbing Rough features hand cut semiprecious stone cabochons. Looking at Cabbing Rough's treasures, I can definitely see how artists would feel inspired to create jewelry featuring the beautiful stones, as you can see from this post.
The giveaway item measures 38mm x 28mm x 4mm
1) How does your art practice fit into your life?
I am a mother of four, and I found a long time ago the best way to be productive is to take a deep patient breath, and include your kids in everything! My favorite is when my kids read to me while I'm working. I must work a lot, because they are all the top readers of their class.
2) Where does everything come together?
In the basement, at my desk, on the couch, on the kitchen counter, in bed - I can be all over at once! It's not uncommon for me to be drawing shapes on rocks while I'm cooking dinner.
3) Do you have any specific goals for your Etsy site or art practice?
Just to always do what I love - the day I don't love rocks anymore is the day I stop cutting them.
4) If you had a super power, what would it be?
I would want to be able to grow 8 more arms.
5) Recommend a good book and movie
My all time favorite books used to be Wicked and East of Eden. Now I would pick Diary of a Wimpy Kid and anything written by Sandra Boynton.
6) Where do you live in the world? What do you like most about it?
I live in Kirkland, IL a small town in the cornfields. My kids go to a great K-12 school, and the community is very friendly.
