Day 18's Giveaway is a Hand-painted Stained-Glass Style Hanging from Kim Rose Colored Glass
The giveaway item is a lovely stained-glass style 8"x10" hanging with silk ribbon.
Fellow Canadian Kim Rose is passionate about her art practice, as evidenced in her answers to my questions, which I asked in order to get to know the artist behind the Etsy store:
1) How does your art practice fit into your life?
I started this particular art form about 7 years ago as a hobby. I made them for friends and family as gifts. I can't imagine life without my art, it has become an everyday practice, like brushing my teeth. I plan on continuing this long into old age. No rocking chair for me.
2) Where does everything come together?
All of my pieces are hand painted by me in my home studio, in Dunnville, Ontario, Canada.
3) Do you have any specific goals for your Etsy site or art practice?
It is my goal to continue to provide ready made and custom pieces of art for every budget and every taste. My pieces are both practical and fun. I plan on staying at Etsy for quite some itme to come. I have no plans on retiring, I will paint until I can paint no more. 4) What would be your super-power?
I think if I could have a super power, that I would choose to be teeny, tiny.....then I could be that often refered to " fly on the wall"
5) Recommend a good book and movie
My all time favorite book is without a doubt, the bible, highly recomended reading. There's every genra from romance to war and everything in between. My all time favourite movie is a little more difficult, there are so many, but to choose only 1, it would have to be, "The Wizard of Oz " a truly classic film.
6) Where do you live in the world? What do you like most about it?
I live with my husband of 22 years and our 3 children in a quaint little town on the Grand River, called Dunnville. Where the serene and peaceful atmosphere are the key ingredient to my inspirations.
